Duality shows a fantastic relationship with two different theories. It allows us to get observable in one theory from another one. In this talk, I will introduce boson-fermion duality in 2+1 quantum field theory with abelian Chern-Simons term. I will show gauge fields induce flux and change particles statistics. Then I will derive partition function for a bosonic field with Chern-Simons term, and show the partition function is equal to a free Dirac fermion. This duality is also called 3d bosonization.
